Mr. Jay C. Russell, age 63, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010. He was retired, a US Army Veteran of Vietnam, where he was awarded the Purple Heart on January 31, 1968 and a second Purple Heart on March 19, 1968. Mr. Russell is survived by his loving wife, Judi Davis Woodring; sons, Jay C. Russell Jr (Mindy), Eric Woodring (Tammi) and Sean Woodring (Shea); six grandchildren, Brian, Haley, Hannah, Emma, Emily and Baleigh, and a large extended family and many friends.
Funeral ceremony 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at New Life Church 3402 Goose Creek Rd., Louisville, Ky., with burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
