Frances V. (Stamper) Stumler, 73, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 with her family at her side. She was the dedicated wife of Joseph for 53 years and the proud mother of four children. Frances loved music and houseplants.
She was born on January 28, 1937 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Frank and Mary Stamper. She is also preceded in death by her brother Frank, Jr., and sister, Joyce Stamper.
In addition to her husband, Joseph W. Stumler, she is survived by her sons, Michael and his wife, Bonnie and Roger and his wife, Aimee; daughters, Bonnie Shireman and her husband, Marty, and Pam Smith and her husband, Steve; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Her visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana (formerly Generations Funeral Home), 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be at 1 PM Friday in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
