Mary Imogene (McCallister) Donner Fulkerson, 91, of New Albany passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Mercy-Providence Retirement Home. She was a retired registered nurse at the Floyd County Health Dept. Imogene was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary and VFW Hobart Beach Ladies Auxiliary.

Imogene was born on December 5, 1920 in Uniontown, KY to the late Phillip and Mary (Howard) McCallister. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer A. Donner and James Fulkerson; brothers, Phillip J. and Patrick McCallister and sisters, Betty Lou McCallister, Mary Harris; great-grandchild, Edie Rose Adams; and son-in-law, Bill Highland.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Jones (Lynnwood), Rita Highland, Rudy Donner (Donna), Allen Donner (Rosie); siblings, Charlotte Siegel, Charlie Carrico; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Her Visitation will be 12 to 8 PM Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude for the love and care Imogene received from the entire staff at the retirement home over the last few years. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy-Providence Retirement Home.
