Evelyn C. (Eggers) Heichelbech
1923 - 2012

Evelyn C. (Eggers) Heichelbech, 88, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away peacefully on June 29, 2012. She retired from Kroger and was a resident of Westminster Village in Clarksville. Evelyn was a very active member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Edwardsville. She will be greatly missed by the multitude of lives that she touched.

Evelyn was born on December 13, 1923 in Hammond, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur E. and Lydia Eggers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester L. Heichelbech; granddaughter, Kerri Windell and eight siblings.

She is survived by her children, James A. “Jim” Heichelbech (Becky), Donna L. Oexman (Larry), Bruce Heichelbech (Joni); brother, Edwin Eggers; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12 PM to 6 PM Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). Her funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church (5231 SR 62, Georgetown, IN 47122) with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to her church.
